Resting Beyond Anxiety

May 23

In Gospel of Matthew 6:25, Jesus lovingly tells His followers not to be anxious about their lives. These words are not spoken to condemn struggling hearts, but to draw weary souls back into trust. Christ knows how easily fear can consume the mind. He knows the worries that rise within us about tomorrow, provision, health, and uncertainty.

Yet Jesus points us toward the faithfulness of the Father. The God who sustains creation is also the God who watches over His children. Anxiety grows when we try to carry burdens we were never meant to bear alone. Peace begins when we remember that our lives rest safely in the hands of God.

Today, let your heart pause beneath the care of the Father. The future is not hidden from Him. Your needs are not forgotten by Him. The same Lord who feeds the birds of the air will remain faithful to those who trust in Him.

Prayer:
Lord, calm the anxious places within my heart. Teach me to trust You more deeply and to rest in Your faithful care. Help me remember that You are near, that You see my needs, and that Your love never fails. Amen.
